John Gunderson , an XCAP Athlete, who went just 1-3 in his stint with the IFL, has put together an impressive 5-1 record since the promotion’s collapse. This accomplishment allowed John to earn his way into the UFC. In his Octagon debut, Gunderson was outpointed by Rafaello Oliveira at UFC 108 in January. “Quick Guns” was able to come back at the TUF 11 Finale show in June and earn a unanimous decision over Mark Holst to even his UFC record at 1-1.
Edwards, who put together a 6-4 record during his first run in the UFC, has notched wins over the likes of Rich Clementi, Hermes Franca and Josh Thomson. Edwards was released from the UFC after losing to Joe Stevenson, but capitalized on the opportunity by fighting in a variety of promotions like BodogFight, EliteXC and Strikeforce, posting a 4-1 record in his last five bouts on the regional MMA circuit. In his last appearance, the fifty-fifth fight of his professional career, Edwards scored a unanimous decision over Luis Palomino at Bellator 24, just last week.
